Michael Schwartz has been in non-profit management for most of his career. He has held positions that reflect his love of working with people with disabilities including a Santa Cruz, CA summer camp – Camp Krem – along with volunteer guardianship here in Brown County. Michael especially enjoys strategic work and has helped each nonprofit where he has worked expand and thrive. Michael began his career in higher education, pairing university students with civic engagement and service-learning opportunities. He relocated to Green Bay in 2013 and led the revitalization of the Volunteer Center of Brown County. In 2016, Michael was recruited to grow the Oral Health Partnership, a dental non-profit organization for youth in Green Bay. Michael was thrilled to join the ISI team to improve the lives of people with disabilities, becoming our Chief Executive Officer in January 2023.

Michael and his wife Kami are devoted foster parents. The family loves summertime walks and hotel pools! Michael is a Gonzaga Bulldogs fan where he went to college and a lifelong Packers fan despite being from California. He values the people and quality of life in Green Bay tremendously and thinks Wisconsin is the perfect place to live. Michael enjoys volunteering as a guardian and serves on a number of boards.

kerry blondheim
Vice President of Administration

Kerry is an executive leader with extensive experience within non-profit organizations and the human services field. She began working for Innovative Services in 2005 as our first Human Resources staff. She developed the Human Resources department as the organization grew from less than fifty employees to over nine hundred. Although her career began in Human Resources, she has successfully supported a wide range of teams including Human Resources, Finance, Education & Compliance, Mental Health, Maintenance, and Administration. Her leadership style allows her to connect with each team to understand its strengths, challenges, and needs so she can provide support accordingly. Kerry has served as the Executive Director at Innovative Services since July 2018. Prior to that role, she served as a Project Manager, Board Member, and Human Resources Director. Now, Kerry has been our Vice President of Administration since August 2021.

Outside of work, Kerry combines her passion for our mission with her interest in running through myTEAM Triumph, another non-profit organization that empowers people with diverse abilities to complete athletic events with able-bodied angel athletes. She is also active in advocating for Congenital Disorders of Glycosylation and serves as peer support for other parents whose children have that diagnosis. She enjoys hiking, camping, and exploring national parks with her husband and two boys.

carolyn jazgar
Vice President of Finance

Carolyn is a results-oriented financial leader with public and private company, as well as non-profit experience. She is a financial business partner specializing in identifying emerging trends, system and process needs, and measurement of key performance metrics. She has industry experience in human and health services, insurance, distribution, as well as time and materials accounting. When Carolyn is not working at Innovative Services, she’s an instructor at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College where she teaches business, finance, accounting, human resource management, leadership, and career planning classes. She has been the Controller of Innovative Services since April 2020. Now, she has been our Vice President of Finance since August 2021.

Carolyn has a husband, son, and a rescue dog that runs their house!  She stays busy attending her son’s golf tournaments, high school hockey, and traveling. She also volunteers as treasurer for the booster club.  Carolyn loves spending time with family, working on house projects, and reading.

Becca hrdlicka
Vice President of Operations

In 2015, Becca made her way to the provider side of long-term care and joined Innovative Services as our first District Manager in the Northwest Region. She worked closely with the Regional Administrator to grow the Northwest from serving two counties to thirteen. She then took on the role of Regional Administrator in 2016 until recently accepting the role of Vice President of Operations in February 2022.

Prior to joining the world of long-term care, Becca received a bachelor’s degree in both Political Science and Public Administration from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse.

Becca is a strong leader, expert communicator, and innovator. She sees challenges and barriers as opportunities to do things differently and equates the success of any team to the strengths of the individuals and their willingness to work together toward a common goal. When she isn’t serving her community or working to carry out the mission of Innovative Services, she can be found enjoying the beautiful lakes of the Northwoods!

Lynn Smits

vice president of human resources

With her wide-ranging expertise in human resources, Lynn joined Innovative Services, Inc. as the Vice President of Human Resources in September 2023. Lynn is an HR leader with experience in public, private, and non-profit organizations. Lynn actively listens to others and leverages her experience as a business partner to impact organizational effectiveness. She is attune to industry and employment market demands, especially as they relate to talent planning and organizational design.

Lynn is a certified senior professional in human resources management with the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI), and is a certified compensation professional. Lynn earned her bachelor’s degree in human resource management from Concordia University and her master’s degree in management and organizational behavior from Silver Lake College.

Outside of work, Lynn enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 daughters, and 2 miniature dachshunds. Some of her favorite activities include golfing with her husband and traveling. Lynn cares deeply about those with disabilities and continues to serve on the board of directors at Options for Independent Living.
